enthusiasts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect
your personal information when you use our mobile app, website, and
related services (together, the “Service”).
Profile Content: photos, videos, bio, climbing-related
information you choose to share.
Usage Data: log files, device information, IP address,
browser type, app version, and activity within the Service.
2. Profile Information & Visibility
Profile Section: Certain information in your profile is always visible to other users,
including your username and profile image. Your profile image is stored in a public location and may be
accessible to anyone on the internet.
You can control the visibility of other profile details through your privacy settings, including:

Last Name
Home Location
Age
Gender
Height
Wingspan
Weight
Ape Index
Climb Media: When you upload photos or videos to climbing locations or climbs (not your
profile), these are stored in a public location and may be accessible to anyone on the internet. Do not
upload content you wish to keep private.

Allow you to share content with other users based on your privacy

Personalize your experience and show relevant content.

When you delete your account (available on the app's "Profile" screen):
Your personal information (profile data, account details) will be permanently deleted
Your contributed location data, photos, and beta videos will be retained as part of our climbing knowledge base
These contributions will become part of the permanent climbing route documentation
Your username will be changed to "Former User" on retained content
If any of your photos or videos stay online, we keep a separate, restricted record of who
uploaded them (your email address, username and account dates). We need it to answer legal
claims about that content, for example if someone says a photo is theirs. It is not visible
in the app and no one else can see it.
That record lasts exactly as long as the content it belongs to. When your last photo or
video is removed, the record is deleted with it. Asking us to remove your uploads therefore
removes the record too.
Important Note About Beta Videos and Photos: When you upload beta videos or photos to climbing routes, you:

Agree that these are instructional content for the climbing community
Grant us a perpetual, irrevocable license to maintain this content even after account deletion

8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your
information. However, no system is completely secure.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA).
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. International Transfers
Your data may be processed outside your country. Where required, we use
safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Future Monetization
BetaSprayer may in the future offer monetization features, including
displaying third-party advertisements and offering merchandise sales
through our app.
Advertising: Third-party ad networks may collect
information about your activity in the app to provide personalized ads.
This may include device information, IP address, or usage data. We will
provide instructions on how to manage or opt-out of personalized ads at
that time.
Merchandise Sales: If we offer products or services for
